Welcome to the world of learning and loving to read, with Bob Books.
Bob Books were written by Bobby Maslen in the 1970’s. Since then, literally millions of kids have learned to read with Mat, Sam and Dot. We have gotten many, many letters from proud parents who wanted to share their excitement and joy with us as their child reached this important milestone. They - and you - are the reason for our new, improved web site and blog. You have inspired us to build a community for parents, teachers, grandparents, care providers and kids - to offer each other suggestions, discover new ideas, find links to research about reading and build a community around our children’s journey into reading and literacy.
This blog is being written by Lynn Maslen Kertell, author of My First Bob Books:Alphabet, and My First Bob Books:Pre-Reading Skills and daughter of Bob Books founder and author, Bobby Maslen. There will be guest appearances by author Bobby Maslen and Bob Books illustrator John Maslen.
